Durable yet easily removed with no adhesive residue, Master Tape Printers produces these informational labels that help credit card consumers quickly and securely get up and running with their line of credit.

Activation labels for credit cards are easily removed, leaving no residue or tearing. They give your customer temporary important information and instructions.

Removing the label can be a reflection on you. Make it easy to peel off. Don’t frustrate the customer with hard-to-remove credit card activation labels. Your labels especially can’t leave any residue behind. It is just messy and you wouldn’t want that sticky stuff in your wallet.

Non-Aging Adhesive vs. Ultra Removable Adhesive

We have heard that some companies pitch to their customers that they use a non-aging adhesive. The truth is there really isn’t such a thing as a non-aging adhesive. Credit card activation labels use an ultra removable adhesive. The rule of thumb is that the longer any removable label is on the product, the more permanent it will get.

Important Questions

What is the Shelf Life of a Credit Card Activation Label?

The standard line from the stock manufacturers is that the material should be used within 1 year. It has a 1-year “shelf life.” But we have customers that use the same roll of labels for years without a problem. However, it’s a good idea to try to use up the labels within a year (but they’ll probably work fine for longer than that). You just need to know that these labels aren’t guaranteed to work forever. Don’t be fooled by the Non-Aging pitch. With a quick turn around time and no minimum order, you don’t have to overstock and risk having stale credit card activation labels sitting on your shelves.

Options for Credit Card Activation Labels

Color

They definitely can be more than 1 color. About 1/3 of our market uses 2-color printing. The 2nd color can be a background color: bright red, green DayGlo, yellow, etc. The material color is white. Any color could be produced using ink on white credit card activation labels. The more colorful they are, the more they will stand out.

Gloss

While usually semi-gloss, you can choose other finish options such as high-gloss or UV matte.

Film lamination

This type of label is not usually laminated. Since credit card activation labels are designed to be disposable, there really is no need to add the expense of a lamination.
